Jun 1, 2012 - PropertyGuru.com.my

I-Residence, the third component of the integrated i-City development, has gained strong interest from investors ahead of its launch.

According to Datuk Eu Hong Chew, Chief Executive of I-Bhd, most of the buyers are new couples aged below 35 years.

"We hope that more and more people will invest in our properties in due time," he said, adding that area will be completely developed in 10 years time. "Right now only 15 percent of the land has been utilised."

The RM225 million, 33-storey condominium project comprises 20 units of low-density private duplex villas and 346 units in two tower blocks.

Large families can be accommodated by the 2,400 sq ft to 3,700 sq ft duplex with its three-plus-one or four-plus-one bedroom with a 50 m Olympic-sized swimming pool at the doorstep and a private lift.

Additionally, the 72-acre occupancy site will house cyber office suites, a shopping mall, residential and retail component, a hotel, along with corporate towers.

Endorsed by the Selangor State Government and the Federal Government, the new residential site is slated to be completed in at least two-and-a-half years.

"We are saying that the residential component is going to be about 30 percent of the whole of i-City," said Chew, adding that the project is slated to be completed in 10 years.

"We hope that each segment will contribute fully to I-Bhd's bottomline. In the long-term basis, we hope that they will contribute one-third each."
