May 30, 2012 - PropertyGuru.com.my

IJM Land Bhd has unveiled a new RM11 billion mixed green township project, Bandar Rimbayu, in a 761 ha parcel of land in Kota Kemuning in Shah Alam, Selangor.

According to Datuk Soam Heng Choon, Managing Director and Chief Executive of IJM Land, the latest development was conceptualised in response to the residents' increasing demand of earth-friendly buildings.

"Designed with an emphasis on sustainable lifestyles for residents with strong connectivity elements, Bandar Rimbayu reflects IJM Land's vision of what townships of the future will look like," he said.

Housing about 10,000 residential units, the Bandar Rimbayu settlement is slated to be completed within 15 years. Its maiden product, The Chimes, is expected to be launched at H2 2012.

IJM Land also inked an agreement with Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) in line with the launching of its development project for a high-speed broadband (HSBB) facility at Bandar Rimbayu.

"This service agreement with TM, Malaysia's No. 1 broadband provider, signifies our commitment in providing fibre (connection) to home facility... we will be offering TM's HSBB service, UniFi, to residents of our first phase free of charge for one year," noted Soam.
